BTW. It you go to Dashboard/Settings/Writing, on that page, at the top, under “Writing Settings”, “Formatting”, you will find an option to
” Convert emoticons like :-) and :-P to graphics on display”
Looks like this is not currently ticked (though of course this may be deliberate).
Ah, thank you! Actually it is deliberate… But maybe I’ll change it. I wish I could design my own emoticons… I’m such a design snob sometimes… (wink!)
Yes, I’ve dreamt about designing/redesigning emoticons, but then there’s sometimes value in learning to be content to work with what I have, :)
